Good news for students who attend the 120 hour program!

Effective July 1, 2023 if a student comes from an approved 120 hour Nursing Assistant program they will only need to take the written exam for their state test. They will no longer need to take the clinical skills exam! This will significantly reduce your stress levels. 

Here's the true story on tutoring/ prep classes:

Many of the tutor prep programs fail to tell the students that medical facilities in Florida which accept federal insurances (Medicare/Medicaid) are required to hire a NA from a 120 hour program. The two to four day tutoring services try to teach you the required 21 skills and a few other items all WITHIN those few days. Therefore, students are not prepared for their state exam due to the amount of information being given to them and fail the state test multiple times. Once they have failed three times those students MUST complete a 120 hour program before being allowed to test again (we receive calls constantly for these students that need help... We can help because we are a licensed and board approved 120 hour program). These schools also do not prepare you to be employable once you graduate. For example, they cannot issue the Alzheimer's/dementia, HIV/AIDS, Restraints, and many other certificates. Many of these schools will not offer BLS or First Aid with their NA classes and require you to pay an additional fee.
